9geschickten Gesandtschaften
10gemeinsam sich dafür engagiert, worum sie ihn
11bitten, zu Glück und Heil!, wolle beschließen
12der Rat: dass die Vorsitzenden, die im Volk
13vorsitzen werden für die kommende
14Volksversammlung, hierüber verhandeln lassen
15und die Beschlussvorlage des Rates
16in die Volksversammlung einbringen, wonach der Rat beschließt,
17dass man belobige Artemidoros S.d. Apollodoros
18aus Perinthos wegen seiner Leistung und seines Wohlwollens
19gegenüber dem König Lysimachos und
20gegenüber dem Volk der Athener, und ihn
21bekränze mit goldenem Kranz gemäß dem
22Gesetz; dass Athener sein sollen er und
23seine Nachkommen, und er eingeschrieben
24werde in Phyle und Demos und Phratrie, die er will,
25gemäß dem Gesetz; dass die Prytanen, die
26im Monat Mounichion amtieren,
27darüber abstimmen lassen in der
28kommenden Volksversammlung, und dass die Thesmotheten
29für ihn die Prüfung einleiten,
30sobald sie die öffentlichen Gerichtshöfe aufgefüllt haben;
31– Damit ein Wettstreit sei unter allen, dem
32Volk Nutzen zu erweisen, in dem Wissen, dass sie
33den Wohltaten angemessenen Dank erwerben werden:
34dass diesen Beschluss der
35Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert,
36aufzeichne auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle auf der
37Akropolis; dass für die Aufzeichnung auf der Stele
38die Finanzverwalter die entstandenen Kosten

14next Assembly shall put the matter on the agenda
15and submit the opinion of the Council
16to the People, that it seems good to the Council
17to praise Artemidoros son of Apollodoros
18of Perinthos for his excellence and good will
19to king Lysimachos and to
20the Athenian People, and to crown
21him with a gold crown according to the law;
22and he shall be Athenian, and his
23descendants, and shall enrol in the tribe and
24deme and phratry that he wishes
25according to the law; and the prytany
26in office in the month of Mounichion
27shall put the vote about him at the
28first Assembly, and the court presidents
29shall bring the scrutiny for him
30when they fill the public courts,
31so that there may be competition for everyone to be of service
32to the People in the knowledge that favours
33worthy of their benefactions will be delivered;
34and the prytany secretary
35shall inscribe this decree on
36a stone stele and stand it on the acropolis,
37and for inscribing the stele
38the board of administrators shall allocate the
39expenditure accrued.
